Are you in pursuit of your 200 hour certification? Perhaps you want to make great part-time money doing something that you love and sharing it with others?
Maybe you are interested in enhancing your personal practice by learning more about the science and history of yoga, and the many ways it can enrich your life. If so, your journey can begin now!
We have trained many teachers and studio owners in the greater Jacksonville area and throughout the USA. You can find them locally at M Body Yoga, Mindful Motion Yoga, Yoga Mix, Red Root Yoga and many gyms and fitness centers.
While many schools focus on either the gentle or athletic traditions of yoga, our students graduate with the knowledge to teach Yoga Basics, Mind Body and Power Vinyasa classes, covering every fitness level. The first Registered Yoga School in Jacksonville, Yoga Den has been offering teachers the tools to instruct a variety of classes to enhance marketability, and we strive to place those wanting to teach with our many friends in the community.
Well aware of the fact that many want to come through the program to enhance their own practice, with no desire to teach, we do not require a certain level of experience for practice. Our philosophy is that there is no better way to learn about the amazing practice of yoga than to take such a comprehensive course. We have also seen many strong bonds of friendship formed, confidence levels soar and people looking for physical, psychological and emotional healing heal. Those wanting self study make wonderful students for those wanting to teach when we get to the actual practice teaching portion of the course, and many students find they want to participate for a sense of self achievement. We honor everyone's path, and hold strong to a "no judgment" attitude.
Yoga Den currently offers 3 convenient formats for you to complete your 200hr teacher training; a 3 week summer Intensive, 6 month weekend program and a 9 month weekend program. 4 of our popular workshops are included in your training; Yoga Basics, Exploring the Chakras, Meditation On and Off the Mat and Yoga Anatomy. |

500 Hour Training
Yoga Den is pleased to announce our 500hr modular training program. As the first registered yoga school in Jacksonville, we have had the privilege to train and certify hundreds of teachers at the 200 hour level, and have been fine-tuning our program since 2004. This time and experience, combined with our quest to continue our own education has allowed this program to evolve. Yoga Den modular training is a convenient, flexible and cost effective way to obtain your 500 hour teaching certification and or to receive continuing education credits, all of which will be recognized by the Yoga Alliance. With modular mostly weekend training workshops along with some 5 hour to full day sessions, , students will enjoy an affordable way to train at their own pace, with the ability to choose what is necessary to complete their studies. If you enjoy yoga, but have no desire to teach, these workshops can enhance your personal practice, and will be open for all of those who wish to attend. If you want to teach, but have not completed your 200 hour training, you are welcome to attend, and the credits can be retro-active. If you have taken workshops from another school that you would like to incorporate into your training, contact Alyson at info@yoga-den.com to discuss.
Once you begin training, you have up to 5 years to complete the additional 300 hours of advanced study, but if you choose to you can graduate in less than 2 years. It’s your education, you choose the pace. The curriculum laid out will give you choices. While some modules will be required, many of your hours will be electives that YOU get to choose from an ever-growing list of workshops. We realize some students are interested in asana and special population, others in the classical traditions, and some of you may want to lean toward a more therapeutic foundation. Our goal is to provide it all, so that you are free to pick and choose what serves you the best, but at the same time offers you a well-rounded training program. When it comes to yoga, it’s all good!
The 500 Hour Curriculum is divided into two categores, Required Modules and Elective Modules.
Getting Started
If you want to begin your 500hr training and begin logging CEU’s, please enroll here. Note A $50 registration fee will be charged for processing your prior training credentials, if applicable, and to set up your personal training grid. (This fee is waived for Yoga Den 200hr grads, as we already have you in our system) As you train, we will help you keep track of your accumulating hours.
Cost
We strive to keep our training costs as low as possible, keeping the current economic climate in mind. We have not raised our 200hr tuition since the day we launched the program back in 2004, even though the industry standard has continued to rise. Depending on which modules you choose to take, in conjunction with early-bird and alumni discounts, your range should fall between $3500 and $3900.
Yoga Den 200hr graduates receive a 10% discount on ALL modules. This discount CAN be used with early-bird registration as well.
